The single most important thing to do on behalf of Hillary Rodham Clinton

In a word: donate.

According to the Wall Street Journal Senator Clinton has $30 million dollars in campaign primary debt. Fine. She spent that money for the sake of her supporters, trying to beat a primary opponent who was, on top of everything else, outspending her 3 to 1 and 4 to 1.

The marvelous Terry McAuliffe, who most certainly has Senator Clinton's back commented on the debt: "I don't know what the final numbers are, but we'll deal with it. I'm not concerned. And if I'm not concerned [the Clintons] won't be."

Despite McAuliffe's coment, The Wall Street Journal speculates that Senator Clinton will seek Senator Obama's assistance in retiring this debt.

We simply cannot allow Senator Clinton to be put in this position. We need to give her the financial independence she would as president, and has as a Senator, worked to so hard to give each of us.

For those who are worried that money donated to Senator Clinton somehow will end up in D.N.C. coffers or under Senator Obama's control: don't! The next thirty million dollars Senator Clinton raises goes to retire her primary campaign debt and put her on a sound financial footing going forward.

Donate. Now. No amount is too small. If every one of the 18 million people who voted for Senator Clinton donated ten dollars to her campaign today, she could kiss that campaign debt good-bye.

Once we lift this burden from Senator Clinton she can insist - without financial worry and annoying speculation that she is somehow dependent on Senator Obama - on many things, ranging from justice for Florida and Michigan voters to a party platforms that includes truly universal healthcare to reform of the D.N.C. itself.

Donate.

That's a great idea. Many Hillary supporters are now blogging at sites that support Hillary. They do not like Obama. I can put it on those blogs. Too bad we cannot set up a "retire the debt" fund.

It would be depressing to leave Sen. Clinton/Hillary beholden to Sen. Obama for helping her out of campaign debt. I hope to send money till I'm maxed out--but less than $50-$100 per month. If the debt disappears, she can use the money for the next challenge--perhaps between Aug. and NOv. of this year!

Are these contributions subject to the same primary limitations? If I am maxed out for the primary, am I unable to help her retire her debt? Please get this on other blogs so we can help Hillary over this obstacle--she deserves only the best after all she's given.

Just put in 50 dollars on your link to Senator Clinton's site.

Donating to retire the debt instead of the DNC this year!!!
